About Me

I'm a bilingual (English/Spanish) data and business analyst focused on business intelligence and decision support, with 15+ years of professional experience across the U.S. and Spain. I combine a strong foundation in Business Administration (MBA, e-business specialization) with hands-on work in data analytics, business intelligence, and financial analysis.

My career started in Spain in a business services environment, where I supported financial reporting, budgeting, and process improvement using ERP systems and Excel. After relocating to the U.S., I transitioned into education, applying the same analytical and leadership skills to track performance, build dashboards, and translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for students, families, and school leadership.

Today, I'm focused on analytics full-time and currently completing the Data Analytics Accelerator (DAA), a highly hands-on program centered on real-world projects. I work regularly with SQL, Excel, Power BI, Tableau, and Python on real-world datasets to clean data, analyze trends, build dashboards, and answer business questions that support decision-making. UK Property Sales Trends (1995–2025)

As part of a 5-person team in the Data Analytics Accelerator internship, we analyzed 51,000+ UK property transactions spanning 30 years across 32 postcode areas. The project explored price trends, property types, tenure comparisons, holding periods, new build premiums, and the impact of economic shocks like the 2008 financial crisis and COVID-19.

My Contribution — Question 5: New Build Premium Analysis

I led the analysis comparing median sale prices for new builds vs. existing homes across all 32 postcode areas and years (672 combinations). Using Excel for calculations and Tableau for geographic mapping, I found that new builds command a premium in 27 of 32 areas — ranging from +140% in Westminster (W) to −7% in Romford (RM). Prime Central London postcodes (W, SW, WC) dominated the top 3, revealing that the new build premium is highly location-dependent, not universal.

Key Team Findings
  • Flats showed the lowest median price change overall — likely due to shorter holding periods
  • Postcode areas W, SW, EC, and NW consistently had the highest median property costs across the decade
  • Short-term resales (≤2 yrs) represent only 16.2% of repeat sales; the market is structurally long-term
  • Median lifetime return was +121.3% over a ~19.5-year holding period
  • RM had the most dramatic 2008 dip with strong recovery — a pattern it repeated in 2020
  • New builds command premiums in 27 of 32 areas; Central London drives the highest

Python Exploratory Data Analysis

Inside an Iron Ore Flotation Plant: A Python Exploratory Data Analysis

  • Analyzed 737,453 rows of real industrial sensor data from a Brazilian iron ore flotation plant using Python, Pandas, and Seaborn
  • Identified process instability on June 1, 2017: % Iron Concentrate fluctuated sharply all day with no single sensor explaining the swings (all pairwise correlations below |r| = 0.30)
  • Found the strongest signal was a mild positive relationship between Ore Pulp pH and % Iron Concentrate (r = 0.30), consistent with flotation chemistry
  • Handled real industrial data challenges: Brazilian decimal separators, multi-rate time series (20-second sensors vs. hourly lab readings), and forward-fill artifacts
